Meet Author Janae Marie

Janae Marie is an urban fiction author of five titles.  She has been writing for over twenty years. Growing up in the rough streets of Detroit, MI as an only child grew her up quickly. As a natural introvert, she always had stories floating around in her head. Her first book, Flirting with Temptation was released in 2013. Shortly after she graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Media Arts from Wayne State University. Her second book, Daddy's Home came from overhearing a young lady say, "I had to sell my body to make rent." Blown away from the mere fact that someone had to succumb to such measures to survive prompted the touching yet relatable story.

Later, she published three more books before she turned 30. Double Take, Besties and Sleeping with The Enemy. She now resides in California with her daughter. Currently, she is working on publishing two new titles, Ryder's Block and Leilani's Secret set to be released within the new year. Ms. Marie is pursuing a Master's degree in Library of Information and Science at San Jose State University.
